To Nancy & Family - Please accept our sincere sympathy on Pete's passing. Kathy and I noticed over the past year that he "didn't look good," but since seeing you in church just two weeks ago, we were shocked by the news. Pete was Kathy's local doctor for many years and, I'm sure, will miss him the next time a sinus infection strikes. I always enjoyed visiting with Pete and was envious of his public demeanor. We, the church, and the community will miss him. Bob & Kathy Cusick
To Nancy and the Ekern family. We send you our thoughts and prayers at the loss of a great family man. Dr. Pete was my sons doctor and role model through his three years at MMA. Patrick (O'Dell) thrived during those years and grew through would could have been a dibilitating medical challenge. Dr. Pete said, "I'll take care of him, don't worry." He did that and so much more, all with no expectation of gratitude. Today my son is a happy, healthy husband and dad. We hold Dr. Pete in our hearts as the caring man who made all the difference for our loved one. Cheryl (O'Dell) Ward and Patrick O'Dell.
Nancy and Family. Please know that my thoughts and prayers will be with all of you at this time. We had some great times together at MSMA Meetings and AMA Meetings, too. Pete will be missed by the members of your community--I am sure that they were like family to him. His kind nature, sense of humor, and thoughtfulness, I am sure, was never questioned by his patients or his friends. We will all miss him. Nancy, this is hard, but you will carry on. One is never prepared for such happenings. With sincere simpathy. Carol Jean DeFeo
